The department trains students in professional direction 4.6 Informatics and computer sciences for educational and qualification degrees "Bachelor" - majors Computer science and Informatics and information technologies in business and "Master" - Software engineering and Informatics. It also specializes in the Master's program Informatics and information technologies in education. Curricula for all majors have been developed in accordance with the modern requirements of the software industry, business and recruiters.
The Computer Science major was opened in 2011 and is the successor of the Informatics and Information Technologies major. Graduates of the specialty master the Basic methods of information processing, Design, Programming and construction of software systems. They are able to use and create software in various fields.
The specialty Informatics and information technologies in business was opened in 2009. The purpose of the specialty is to prepare professionals in the application of Information technologies in the state administration.
The Master's degree in Software Engineering was opened in 2008. Training in the Master's degree in Informatics has been taking place since 2002.
The department leads the training of students from all the university's specialties in programming and information technologies.
